Black IPA Artisan Ale Grain & Grape Fresh Wort Kit
These wort kits are made on a Speidel 500L Braumeister Brewery, they are all grain and brewed true to style. They are especially suited to time poor brewers or those who simply want an excellent beer with a minimum of effort.
NOTE: These kits are generally designed to add 3 litres of water to the fermentation to achieve the ideal balance, you may if you wish, not add the extra water for a richer, higher gravity version.
Yeast not included.
DESCRIPTION
A slightly more assertive version of the Classic US style. Briess Midnight Wheat malt has given it a mild roastiness, and Weyermann Caraaroma, a raisiny character.
Dry Hopping is not essential with this beer but if you’d like to experiment you could try 40g of Centennial in the fermenter 3 days before packaging.

Approximate cube volume: 16.5L .
Starting Gravity: 1.068 undiluted, 1.058 with 3 litres of water added
Bitterness: 50 IBU’s using Warrior hops
Grist make up: Joe White Ale 59%, JW Dark Munich 22%, Briess Midnight Wheat 9%, Weyermann Cararoma 8% and Weyermann Carafa Special I 2%.
Late hops: Centennial and Eldorado
Dry hopping suggestions: Centennial, ElDorado
Recommended yeasts:
Bluestone San Diego or Michigan, M42 New World Strong Ale, SAF US05 or Danstar BRY97.
