Keg King Brewing in Springvale, Victoria is the headwaters of the world's best all grain fresh beer kits, formerly known as Fresh Wort Kits. No matter what you call them, Beer Kits or Wort Kits are the fastest way to make all grain beers in style specific varities that showcase authentic flavours and brewery fresh ingredients. Simple to make, each kit contains 16.5 Litres of unfermented beer brewed exactly to style. Simply pour the kit into your fermenter, dilute with 3 Litres of water and pitch the recommended yeast.

NEIPA stands for New England India Pale Ale, a style that began rising in popularity, especially around 2013 with the growing interest in Vermont (New England) based brewery The Alchemist's beer Heady Topper. From them and from other breweries this new IPA style began to develop a following in beer drinkers who discovered that clear beer doesn't matter, bitterness in IPA can be reduced, hop flavour increased and mouth feel smoothed out to be silky and, dare we say it, creamy?
That's right. NEIPA began a war between IPA loving beer drinkers with one side claiming West Coast was the best coast and the others claiming East Coast was the coast with the most. So, the birth of a new style beer began and a great drink started to appear on taps across the globe. Cloudy bright yellow, bursting with hop aroma and filled to the edges with delicious, fruity, resiny, dank hop flavour, NEIPA is another modern take on the India Pale Ale style.
Our Ben's Lefty Juicy was designed by none other than Ben from the gang at Grain and Grape in Yarraville. In his clever recipe Ben captured the essence of the NEIPA style. When we say it's juicy, we mean the hop character because there is absolutely no fruit juice in the brew. All the fruity goodness is derived from the combination of hops on brew day as well as from the hops added during the fermentation process. Not once, but TWICE! That's right, this Keg King Beer Kit comes with two packs of hops, one of which goes in at high krausen (big foam on top of early fermentation) and the other gets added three (3) days before packaging. Every sip of Ben's Lefty Juicy will fool you into thinking there is fruit juice in this beer when you're tasting pineapple, strawberry and stone fruits wrapped in the smooth full bodied malt goodness.

Like diving face first into a pool of hop perfumed perfection, this collaboration Extra Pale Ale (XPA) is a hop lovers dream come true!
Hop Nation Brewery is renowned for their beers that celebrate everything independent brewing stands for with pride! Independently owned and operated by good mates and former winemakers Sam Hambour and Duncan Gibson, Hop Nation has grown from strength to strength as they blaze new flavour trails within the beer community. So, when we needed an XPA that would satisfy the most hop crazed beer drinkers out there, this is what they dreamed up.
Hop Nation XPA COMES WITH EXTRA HOPS that you add during the fermentation process. Not one, but TWO packs of fresh packed hop pellets that will fill your senses with the deep, green dank aroma that we love!
Pouring golden in colour with just a slight haze from the decadent dryhopping, the resinous, pine and citrus, grapefruit, orange peel dank will frolic in your glass well after this beer has vanished. But don't worry, there's room for another because Hop Nation XPA is a bit more sessionable than IPA since it clocks in at around 5.2%. Like a Pale Ale but with a whole lot more hop kick. You could say the balance is definitely leaning towards hop flavour but the malt bill is still fulfilling and medium bodied.
Ferment this one with your old stock standard Safale US05 or if you want a bit more character try Bluestone Michigan or Lallemand Verdant or Mangrove Jack M66 Hophead. All of these yeasts will create a great beer but you might notice a distinct difference between the strains as each one creates a unique flavour profile that will accentuate the hop character and compliment the overall enjoyment of your finished beer.
Want to make it an IPA out of this?
Simple, don't add water to your Beer Kit. The OG on this kit is 1.060 which will make an undiluted kit much stronger and within IPA strength range, but you'll get less finished beer!
XPA is perfect as it is though with the goodness of Motueka, Ella and Citra hops all harmonising in your grasp. Pair it old pub favourites like pizza, parma, burgers or simply pair it with another Hop Nation XPA! The X makes it extra hoppy and sessionable!
