DESCRIPTION

Like diving face first into a pool of hop perfumed perfection, this collaboration Extra Pale Ale (XPA) is a hop lovers dream come true!

Hop Nation Brewery is renowned for their beers that celebrate everything independent brewing stands for with pride! Independently owned and operated by good mates and former winemakers Sam Hambour and Duncan Gibson, Hop Nation has grown from strength to strength as they blaze new flavour trails within the beer community. So, when we needed an XPA that would satisfy the most hop crazed beer drinkers out there, this is what they dreamed up.

Hop Nation XPA COMES WITH EXTRA HOPS that you add during the fermentation process. Not one, but TWO packs of fresh packed hop pellets that will fill your senses with the deep, green dank aroma that we love!

Pouring golden in colour with just a slight haze from the decadent dryhopping, the resinous, pine and citrus, grapefruit, orange peel dank will frolic in your glass well after this beer has vanished. But don’t worry, there’s room for another because Hop Nation XPA is a bit more sessionable than IPA since it clocks in at around 5.2%. Like a Pale Ale but with a whole lot more hop kick. You could say the balance is definitely leaning towards hop flavour but the malt bill is still fulfilling and medium bodied.

Ferment this one with your old stock standard Safale US05 or if you want a bit more character try Bluestone Michigan or Lallemand Verdant or Mangrove Jack M66 Hophead. All of these yeasts will create a great beer but you might notice a distinct difference between the strains as each one creates a unique flavour profile that will accentuate the hop character and compliment the overall enjoyment of your finished beer.

Want to make it an IPA out of this?

Simple, don’t add water to your Beer Kit. The OG on this kit is 1.060 which will make an undiluted kit much stronger and within IPA strength range, but you'll get less finished beer!

XPA is perfect as it is though with the goodness of Motueka, Ella and Citra hops all harmonising in your grasp. Pair it old pub favourites like pizza, parma, burgers or simply pair it with another Hop Nation XPA! The X makes it extra hoppy and sessionable!

We now brew this highly enjoyable Hop Nation XPA at our Keg King Brewery in Springvale, Victoria. Our brewers continue to strive for excellence and consistency to make authentic all grain beers of distinction. Every beer style and every ingredient are carefully put together to create a unique brew with the freshest flavour you’ll ever savour. Ready when you are, Keg King Brewing has a beer for every occasion so you can always pour something special without hassle or expense. Skip the brew day and leave the hard work to us. Simply pour the kit into your fermenter, top up with water, pitch your yeast and keep your brew at temp. You’ll enjoy every sip of the easiest beers you’ve ever made at price that smashes every commercial offering at the bottle-o. Keg King Brewing is beer brewed better. Take one home and make your own drop of heaven.

Craft Brewing Keg King Fresh Wort Kits: Small Batch – Huge Results!

Our entire range of Keg King Fresh Wort Kits is craft brewed in small batches in our own brewery. Each kit is designed around a recognised beer style and made with style-specific ingredients for authentic flavour in every beer.

We take brewing very seriously. No corners are cut and nothing is compromised. We only use the highest quality, freshest malt and hops to bring each kit to life. But we don’t stop there.

To really drive home the authenticity of each kit, we go the extra mile, incorporating traditional brewing techniques and clever hands-on processes that yield high-quality results you’ll savour in every sip.

Decoction Mashing

Our European golden lagers, like the Czech Pilsner and Munich Helles, incorporate actual decoction mashes to capture the clarity, colour and subtle flavour enhancements that the extra work on brew day brings to the kits.

Iteration Mashing

The Matt’s Imperial Stout kit is the result of a 24-hour triple-iteration mashing process. This stacks up the high starting gravity points and delivers a stout so potent you can barrel-age it for years and keep coming back to see how it evolves over time.

Cold Steep Infusion

Our Dark Rice Lager, Irish Draught Stout and Oatmeal Stout kits use an overnight cold-steeped specialty malt infusion to deliver dark colour and deep, rich flavours without harsh astringency. You’ll notice the smoothness in every glass.

Hop Stands

XPA, West Coast IPA, NEIPA and Red IPA are all kept hop-forward in flavour but still balanced, without harsh or bitter astringency. The extra time and carefully calculated hop additions are all part of our brewer’s attention to detail, so the final results have impact that will keep you coming back for more. The hop stand is a brilliant way to preserve hop oils and keep the aroma exactly where we want it… in the beer!

The Craft All Adds Up

Our love of craft brewing is what drives us to keep offering new beer styles and widen our range. We put our heart into each kit we brew, ensuring the quality and the ingredients all add up to something bigger than the sum of its parts.

Take the Work Out of Your Wort

What are you skipping when you grab a Keg King Fresh Wort Kit?

The hassle of all-grain brewing can be tedious, messy, heavy and hard to get perfect. There’s lots of preparation, lots of time wasted if you get it wrong, and unless you love it, brew day can end up a massive, sticky mess. So take the work out of your wort and start fresh, get fermenting fast and get your time back. Less equipment, less hassle, and fantastic all-grain beer in every Keg King Fresh Wort Kit.
