Flaked wheat is a valuable ingredient in brewing Belgian Witbiers or German Wheat but has seen great applications, providing body, head retention, and fermentables while also contributing to a slight haze in the final product. Unlike whole wheat grains, flaked wheat does not require milling as it is already flattened and toasted. Simply add it to the mash as is to achieve the desired results.

With a color of approximately 1.0-2.0° L, flaked wheat is a crucial component in creating the perfect Witbier, wheat or hazy.
