Idaho 7 Hop Pellets - 100g

Idaho 7® Brand J-007 was bred and released by Jackson Farms near Boise, Idaho.

Idaho 7® presents as pungent tropical fruit and citrus (think apricot, orange, red grapefruit, papaya) with big notes of resiny pine and hints of black tea.

Other descriptors include:

PINEAPPLE • PEACH • PINE • RESIN • MANGO BLACK TEA

Try it in:
IPA • PALE ALE • WHEAT

Idaho 7 is mainly used as a late addition hop with a distinct tangerine flavor. although it does do great as a bittering hop.

Substitutions include: Citra, Loral and El Dorado

AA 14%

Commercial Example:  Most commercial examples combine Idaho 7 with other varieties to achieve fuller, more rounded synergies in hop flavor and aroma including Sierra Nevada Dankful IPA which combines Idaho 7 with 6 other hops.

Alpha Acid (AA): 9.5-15%

Purpose: Aroma

Aroma:black currant, tropical fruit, citrus, apricot, orange, grapefruit, papaya, resin, pine, floral, black tea & earthy.

Beer styles: IPAPale Ale & Wheats.

Substitutions: Azacca, El Dorado, Citra, Amarillo, Chinook, Columbus.
