Voyager amber malt has an upfront yet pleasant, strong biscuit, burnt toast and subtle coffee profile. Gently roasted over several hours and finished off with a good dose of steam, this intense malt should be used sparingly in the full range of English ales, especially mild ales, bitters and porters to add a classic full flavoured, well rounded, dry finish.

Some of the common styles where Amber Malt is typically employed to impart a rich amber color and a toasty, malt-forward flavor profile include:

Amber Ale
Irish Red Ale
American Amber Lager
Vienna Lager
California Common
Altbier

Moisture (max) %: 3
Extract - Fine dry: >75
Colour (EBC): 50 - 70

Possible substitutions include:  Biscuit or Melanoidin
