"NEW" Australian Standard CO2 Cylinders AVAILABLE

We pleased to announce that Keg King now offers our own CO2 cylinders and refill service at our warehouse in Springvale (VIC). We also offer wholesale refill serivice for our partnership stores (please call for details).

Our new cylinders are a convenient 2.6kg (meaning they hold 2.6kg of co2) size and they are specially designed to be the largest possible cylinders that will fit into both kegerators that we offer. The 2.6kg of CO2 will be enough to dispence approx 300 litres of beer. If you are using it for home brew and using the gas to carbonate, and dispence it will do approximately 180 litres of beer. (These figures are based on use with a kegerator, some systems that require higher pressures will consume more gas)

WHY CHOOSE STEEL CYLINDERS?
Aluminium cylinders are slightly lighter than steel cylinders, but steel cylinders are many time more durable. One drop of an aluminium cylinder and you could be up for a new one. It's simply not worth the slight weight saving, that's why industrial cylinders are almost always steel. It's the only way that we can offer a 5 Year Warranty.

SHOULD I GET A LARGER CYLINDER?
No, a 2.6kg is the largest recommended safe size to be used in domestic environments. CO2 is DEADLY in concentrations above 18% in the atmosphere. A 2.6kg cylinder is the maximum recommended size cylinder you should be using without proper extraction fans and CO2 detecting equipment installed in your cellar or closed bar area. A 3kg CO2 cylinder is enough to make a 50cumic meter room a deadly environment. Only ever use a larger cylnder if you are outside or in an area which is well ventilated.

If you want more gas at hand, we recommend our customers to purchase 2 smaller cylinders. Keep your spare cylinder in a well ventilated area away from the house. This will greatly reduce your risk. Don't risk the life of your family and friends with oversized cylinder.

Having two cyinders will also allow you to have one backup. So you'll never be caught out half way though your BBQ or party.

50psi CO2 Regulator
Safety pressure release valve will prevent you from blowing your beer and gas lines. This regulator comes with easy on off tap, safety pressure releace, and will fit onto any of our CO2 cylinders, including BOC, Supagas and other Australian standard cylinders.
